It’s NaNoWriMo Time

Posted on 31 October 2011

It’s Nanowrimo time again!  November is National Novel Writing Month and once again I’m going to attempt to write 50,000 words in 30 days.  I won my first year and failed the next two years of Nano.  This year I am going to win.  I’ve been preparing myself and getting into nano mode.  Nanowrimo 2011 is going to be awesome. I’m ready for the long hours and frantic spurts of writing.  Coffee and me are friends and I can type without being able to see the [...] Continue Reading

Throw Your 2 Cents in – You Can Vote!

Posted on 03 October 2011

I found an app for Glutenlessly Delicious that will let my readers tell me what they think of my posts.  The “What Do You Think?” app lives down below each post, just above the “Share and Enjoy” social media icons. you should see something like this: Isn’t it cool?  I think so and I want to know what you have to say.  I would love it if you would take 3 seconds to cast your vote, so if you get a chance, please click on one of [...] Continue Reading

You Know You’re Obsessed with Food When…

You Know You’re Obsessed with Food When…

Posted on 09 August 2011

I’m obsessed with food.  I don’t know when it happened because I used to be someone who might eat a bit here and there and go 3 days without a regular meal.  Now I think about food all the time.  What’s in my pantry?  Can I make something up with what I have?  What’s new at the grocery store?  What do you have in your refridgerator?  Can I look in your refridgerator?  Do you have any new recipes?  What the hell is black bean salad? [...] Continue Reading

Disappointed in Diccico’s Italian Restaurant’s Gluten Free Menu

Disappointed in Diccico’s Italian Restaurant’s Gluten Free Menu

Posted on 09 August 2011

If you happen to live in California and have heard of Diccico’s Italian Restaurant you might now want to order from their gluten free menu.  I was extremely dissapointed to discover that their gluten free pizza is a frozen variety that I can buy in the grocery store. This amazing restaurant makes their own pasta when it comes to the gluten full kind but not when it comes to the gluten free kind.   The Diccico’s of Merced websites states that their food is “fresh” but [...] Continue Reading

I’m About to Give Up on Gluten Free Pasta!

I’m About to Give Up on Gluten Free Pasta!

Posted on 09 August 2011

I have tried several brands of gluten free pasta.  I’ve attempted pasta salad, pasta parmesan, spaghetti, bow tie pasta and tortellini.  Every single one of them sucks.  My first attempt resulted in pasta that disintegrated in the boiling water.  Mush.  I figured I’d overcooked it so I tried again cooking it for less time.  It still turned to mush. The other day I tried another brand and cooked it even less. the result was pasta that resembled plastic.  So I threw it back in a pot [...] Continue Reading

Pirate’s Booty Corn Puffs

Pirate’s Booty Corn Puffs

Posted on 09 August 2011

Today’s snack is not only delicious but it’s gluten free AND sugar free at the same time.  If you haven’t tried Pirate’s Booty Corn Puffs then you are missing out on a great snack that won’t compromise your allergy free diet. Pirate’s Booty Corn Puffs come in a variety of flavors.  My personal favorite is the Aged White Cheddar but you can also get Veggie, New York Pizza, Sea Salt & Vinegar, Barbecue and Sour Cream and Onion. Do not mistake Pirate’s Booty for just an off [...] Continue Reading

Pamela’s Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookies

Pamela’s Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookies

Posted on 09 August 2011

If you’re craving a really good chocolate chip cookie but don’t dare go near them for the gluten then let me introduce you to this little goody.  I found these cookies at our local organic grocery store and I won’t lie, they are a tad bit on the expensive side. But they are so worth the extra cash as long as you only eat one or two a day which is really hard.  These cookies have a great rich chocolaty flavor and hardly have any calories. [...] Continue Reading

Gluten Free Ginger Mini Snapz

Gluten Free Ginger Mini Snapz

Posted on 09 August 2011

These are delicious.  What a find.  I couldn’t believe that I would find gluten free ginger snaps that would taste as good as these. Pamela’s Simplebites Ginger Mini Snapz are a little on the pricey side considering the bag is fairly small but one bite and you’ll realize you don’t need to eat very many of these cookies to be satisfied. A single serving, (which is 4) of these mini ginger snapz is 115 calories. I find it pretty hard to eat 4 at one time so [...] Continue Reading

My Udi’s Sandwich Contest Recipe

My Udi’s Sandwich Contest Recipe

Posted on 09 August 2011

In case you haven’t heard, there’s a contest for the best sandwich using Udi’s gluten free bread.  The grand prize winner will win a year’s supply of Udi’s products.  If you’re gluten free then you know how expensive Udi’s bread is; around $5 a loaf for very tiny little bread. I entered the contest with a Basil, Garlic Chicken BLT recipe.  Please take a moment to vote for me and try my recipe at  (link no longer works.  The vote is over and a winner was [...] Continue Reading

Udi’s Gluten Free Double Chocolate Muffins

Udi’s Gluten Free Double Chocolate Muffins

Posted on 05 August 2011

When I started going gluten free I thought my chocolate love affair was over.  I mourned the absence of brownies, cake and cookies.  Then I stumbled across two great snacks that righted the universe once again; Pamela’s Chunky Chocolate Chip Cookies and Udi’s Double Chocolate Muffins. Have you ever bought those ginormous muffins from Costco and eaten them frozen, or heated them into a molten mess of chocolate in the microwave?   Maybe you prefer Otis Spunkmeyer?  Either way, you chocolate muffin lovers out there know what I’m [...] Continue Reading

C is for Cuties Mandarins

C is for Cuties Mandarins

Posted on 28 July 2011

I don’t like oranges but I love Cuties!  So, not only are they the topic of  ”C” for the A-Z Blogging Challenge, they are also my Snack of the Day tip.  I take them to work and eat them on my break.  I eat 4 of them at night before I go to bed. I could sit and snack on Cuties all day long.  They’re quite addicting. They don’t taste  like an orange at all and one of my friends thought they might be some sort [...] Continue Reading

Snikiddy Do Dah Day Indeed!

Posted on 27 July 2011

These are my new favorite snacks of the day!  They are so light and tasty I can’t even tell you.  Well, I can really, here goes. Snikiddy fries are freakin’ awesome!  They are incredibly buttery tasting.  I didn’t expect to find that at all. I thought they’d taste like a plain potato chip Continue Reading

Wrap Text around Image About Me

I'm a picky eater slash food lover. I hate for my food to touch but give me half a dozen odd ingredients and I'll whip up a Glutenlessly Delicious meal.

Sung to the tune of a really good song, "Midnight Toker" one might sing this about me (if unlike me, you can carry a tune in a bucket with a lid on it) - I'm a builder, I'm a sewer, I'm a crafter and a doer. I'm a treat taster, I'm a cookie maker, I'm a casserole baker and a peanut hater.

Whether you like my singing or not, while you're here feel free to pick up a recipe, read a restaurant review, discover new gluten free products and where to get them.

Have a Glutenlessly Delicious Day!
